Job Title: Scrum Master

Scrum Master

The Scrum Master plays a meaningful role in delivering high quality modern solutions software as part of a cross functional agile scrum team This role will be accountable for acting as a servant leader to the scrum team acting to surface and resolve team level sprint risks and roadblocks while facilitating scrum ceremonies This role will also act as a change agent evangelizing the tents of agile and scrum across Global Functions Technology

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a Change Agent with a passion for supporting teams to transform their behaviors toward an agile environment
  • Facilitate Scrum processes and events enabling team maturity
  • Create an agile mindset with focus on agile value and principles leading with transparency inspection and adaptation resulting in delivery of high value increments which meet the Definition of Done
  • Leverage performance data to drive outcomes with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Enable teams through servant leadership skills to develop sprint goals robust product backlogs and acceptance criteria
  • Participate in program level agile ceremonies to include dependency mapping release planning and scope alignment across Product teams representing your scrum teams
  • Ensure risk and compliance goals are met through enablement of high code quality robust backlogs and reduction of technical debt
  • Enable the removal of impediments to the Scrum Teams progress
  • Facilitate communication and partnership inside and outside the team to include stakeholder engagement
  • Protect the team from distractions allowing for focus to meet sprint and program commitments
  • Promote self organization and cross functionality of the team coaching each role to enable high performance of the team
  • Support training and coach the team in its agile adoption

Qualifications

  • Mindset consistent with Scrum core values openness courage respect focus and commitment.
  • Demonstrated understanding of lean agile values and principles including the 353 structure of scrum.
  • 4 years working in an agile environment as a development team member Scrum Master or Product Owner.
  • 3 years experience in the Scrum Master role of distributed Agile team tech domain preferred.
  • Expert in facilitation problem solving and influencing outcomes.
  • Strong knowledge of best practices in value driven development requirements management prototyping hypothesis driven development usability testing.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of common practices to manage risk from risk identification through mitigation and monitoring.
  • Expert knowledge of agile tool suites including Atlassian Agility Health Radar MS Teams or similar agile management tooling.
  • Scrum Master and Agile Certifications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with largescale enterprise agile transformation with knowledge of Scaled Agile Framework SAFe or other scaling frameworks
  • Strong knowledge of technical engineering best practices including test driven development continuous integration DevOps

Education

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
