HOME REPAIR SERVICE TECHNICIAN
SOUTH DAKOTA HOUSING
DESCRIPTION: Primarily responsible for repairs resulting from the delivery and installation of Governor’s Houses. The Governor’s House Program is a program funded by SDH, in which prison inmates at the Mike Durfee State Prison build low-cost, low-maintenance, energy efficient homes to income qualified individuals and families.
QUALIFICATIONS: Successful candidate must possess excellent customer service and trade skills; experience working with a variety of clients; general knowledge of home repair and improvement; and the ability to communicate professionally. The ability to fix sheetrock cracks, siding, shingles and alignment of doors a plus. Successful candidate must have a High School Diploma or GED or a combination of three years of related education and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities.
LOCATION: Statewide, SD (travel within the state required)
STARTING SALARY: Negotiable, minimum starting pay $22.69 per hour.
BENEFITS: SD Housing pays 100 percent of employees health, dental and vision insurance plus a percentage of family coverage. Option for employer contributed Health Savings Account. Additionally, paid family leave, eleven paid holidays, time of service bonuses and accrual of 15 vacation and 14 sick days annually.
