Job Title: Project Manager – Data Centers

Location: Dallas TX preferred but should be flexible to travel anywhere

Job Type: Full-Time

Experience Level: Mid-Senior Level

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Technical Project Manager to oversee and manage data center projects for wide range of clients. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of client processes, configuration management, resource allocation, and technical troubleshooting. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to critical infrastructure projects and work with leading-edge technologies in the data center industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with clients to understand their data center processes, configuration management systems, and requirements.
  • Manage configuration files provided by clients, including DPK/Bug files and EDP files, ensuring accurate interpretation and implementation.
  • Plan, assign, and arrange resources to meet project timelines and deliverables effectively.
  • Once EDP/DPK is Provided, review & provide day wise activity plan to onsite technicians to use the resources efficiently.
  • Provide technical oversight in troubleshooting issues related to configuration management and label creation using tools like Brady.
  • Work on inventory with onsite team to Identify what is needed as per EDP, Verify delivery status to add or reduce resources. Inform Client on timely basis about materials needed & update on status.
  • High level knowledge on Fiber Handling & troubleshooting to assist onsite team during migration & ability to guide on usage of testing tools.
  • Ability to train & guide onsite technicians on best practices & monitor quality installation standards.
  • Availability to assist onsite teams across multiple time zones.
  • Good knowledge in Microsoft Excel to simplify & analyze client configuration to get estimate of efforts.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation, including schedules, status reports, and risk assessments.
  • Monitor project progress and address challenges proactively to minimize risks and delays.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment on project goals.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Technical Project Manager in the data center industry or related fields.
  • Familiarity with configuration management systems, specifically DPK/Bug files for Google and EDP files for Meta.
  • Strong technical knowledge of troubleshooting and label creation using Brady or similar tools.
  • Excellent resource management skills with the ability to assign and coordinate tasks across multiple teams.
  • Strong understanding of data center infrastructure, processes, and best practices.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with clients and team members.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of networking concepts, cloud infrastructure, and ITIL frameworks.
  • Experience in managing high-profile projects for clients like Google or Meta.
  • Familiarity with additional label-creation software and tools.
