Job Purpose and Scope

The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for sourcing, attracting, and hiring top talent to support Dillard’s corporate operations. This role works closely with hiring managers to develop and execute recruitment strategies that align with business needs. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will play a key role in building a strong employer brand, ensuring a seamless candidate experience, and maintaining a pipeline of qualified candidates.

Essential Job Functions

  • Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop tailored recruitment strategies.
  • Source, screen, and interview candidates for corporate and retail positions.
  • Manage the full-cycle recruiting process, including job postings, resume review, interviews, and offer negotiations.
  • Utilize various sourcing methods, including job boards, social media, employee referrals, networking, and recruiting events, to attract top talent.
  • Maintain an active pipeline of potential candidates for future hiring needs.
  • Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process by maintaining timely communication and providing a seamless interview experience.
  • Represent Dillard’s at career fairs, industry events, and networking opportunities to promote the company as an employer of choice.
  • Track and report key recruiting metrics to assess the effectiveness of hiring strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with all employment laws and company policies throughout the hiring process.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and improve the recruitment process for efficiency and effectiveness. Take a data-driven approach to guide strategic decisions within the People Operations function (i.e. engagement survey results, retention/turnover stats, etc.)
  • Maintains strict confidentiality regarding benefits, payroll, and employee matters

Position Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, or human resources preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
