Job Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced MS SQL Database Developer with expertise in SQL Server Queries, Windows SQL Server Queries, PLSQL, and Performance Tuning. The ideal candidate will have strong experience working with SQL Server, Databricks, and Apache Spark jobs (PySpark). This role also includes a nice-to-have component of 20% DBA responsibilities and some exposure to Oracle Database.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, optimize, and maintain complex SQL Server Queries and Windows SQL Server Queries
Implement and fine-tune PL/SQL and Performance Tuning techniques for optimal database performance
Design and implement database solutions on SQL Server and manage stored procedures, triggers, functions, and indexing
Perform data modeling, ETL development, and query optimization
Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and software developers to enhance database performance
Manage 20% DBA tasks, including database monitoring, backups, security, and troubleshooting
Work with Oracle Database as needed to support cross-platform database solutions
Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and replication strategies for SQL Server

Skills & Qualifications:

12-15 years of experience in MS SQL Development
Expertise in SQL Server, T-SQL, PL/SQL, Performance Tuning, and Query Optimization
Strong experience with Databricks and PySpark Jobs
Hands-on experience with database design, indexing strategies, and stored procedures
Experience in Windows SQL Server Queries
Nice to have: 20% DBA experience for SQL Server and some exposure to Oracle Database
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

Nice to Have:

Experience with Azure SQL, AWS RDS, or cloud-based database solutions
Knowledge of data warehousing and ETL tools
Understanding of NoSQL databases
