Kelly Services is seeking an experienced Production Operator in Elk Grove Village, IL.

This is a contract to hire opportunity, meaning you could get hired directly after 3-4 months, depending on your performance and attendance.

Shifts and pay:

1st Shift (Mon-Thur 3am-1:30pm; Fri 5am-1:30pm)

Pay Rate: $18.00/hr.

Or

2 nd shift (Mon-Thur 1pm-11:30pm; Fri 1pm-9:30pm)

Pay Rate $18.50/hr.

Responsibilities:

Mixing: Gather, measure, weigh, document ingredients as per manufacturing orders. Load ingredients into mixers (up to 50 lbs.), blend based on specifications and transfer mixed batches.

Extrusion Process: Process batches through extrusion equipment to produce the final product. Maintain product quality as per customer specifications.

Polishing: Manage and transfer finished products using the panning process, including loading into polishing pans and adding liquid ingredients.

Finishing: Transfer finished products using drums, carts, or trays to subsequent processes.

Warehouse Support: Organize materials using stand-up/sit-down forklifts, ensure first-in, first-out stock rotation, and use computers/tablets for inventory management.

Additional Duties: Contribute to warehouse sanitation, build pallets, wrap shipments, and manage other warehouse tasks following safety and quality standards.

Requirements:

Education: High school diploma or GED.

Experience: 6 months to 1 year of related experience; 1 year of sit-down and stand-up forklift experience.

Skills: Ability to read and interpret safety/operating instructions, manage physical tasks (lifting up to 100 lbs.), and use computers for inventory management.

Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) Compliance:

No jewelry, piercings from the waist up, acrylic nails, nail polish, fake lashes, or watches (exceptions for medic alert/plain wedding bands).

No gum, candy, or cell phones on the production floor.
