Senior Process Safety Engineer and HSE Lead in Deer Park, TX, Job 1777

This is a job posting for a full-time position as an employee of our Logistics client in the Deer Park, TX area. The position requires commuting to the Deer Park, TX area and cannot be done remotely. However, relocation assistance within the US is available. The job is one of over 50 current EHS positions being recruited for nationwide.

What you will be doing:

The incumbent will be responsible for the management and compliance with OSHA’s process safety management (PSM) requirements and general Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) programs to support 4 facilities in 3 states.

• Minimum Requirements:All potential candidates must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States, employer sponsorship is not available.
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science or related discipline
• Five (5) or more years of PSM experience in chemical manufacturing, oil and gas refining
• Demonstrated success in overseeing all aspects of PSM and RMP standards
• Experience with handling general HSE safety regulations
• Experience overseeing a staff of HSE professionals

• Major Responsibilities:Partner with plant leadership and serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) regarding interpretation of federal, state and local HSE, PSM and RMP standards and regulations
• Conduct HSE, PSM and RMP risk assessments developing remediation plans as needed
• Conduct incident investigations developing remediation plans as needed
• Lead audits and inspections developing remediation plans as needed
• Build and maintain positive relationships with federal, state and local regulators
• Lead Continuous Improvement initiative regarding programs
• Maintain and ensure compliance with all relevant federal, state and local HSE, PSM and RMP regulations
• Lead employee training programs regarding HSE, PSM and RMP compliance
