Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Pre-Construction Manager with SJ Hauck Construction, LLC. The position is located in Pleasantville, NJ. The Pre-Construction Manager will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all pre-construction activities. The primary function is to manage the companies backlog. A tentative schedule is managed, and as projects near their start date they are assigned to project managers. the role also is responsible for preparing and managing construction documents, and coordinating with designers and contractors. Additional responsibilities include conducting cost management and proposal writing to ensure projects are secured and sufficiently planned before commencement.

Qualifications

  • Oversee and manage backlog of projects
  • Manage permitting process
  • Work with Project Managers with moving projects into construction
  • Manage the work flow from backlog into construction
  • Assist Project Managers with administrative support
  • Complete knowledge of residential and Commercial construction
  • Proficient computer skills: Microsoft Office & Excel
  • Full and in-depth knowledge of construction drawings.
  • Client Relationships - Meet Customer Expectations
  • Change Order Management & Documentation
  • Oversee Architect/Engineering Revisions Make Sure Change Orders and Drawings Are Accurate
  • Manage Contract & Documentation Requirements
  • Manage Permit Requirements
  • Have ability to estimate all construction divisions within residential/Commercial Construction
  • Experience in Construction Estimating and Cost Management
  • Skills in Design Management and Proposal Writing
  • Proficiency in Budgeting
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience in the construction industry is preferred
