PMP Certified Automation Project Manager

Reading, PA

Our client is located just south of Reading and due to growth, they are hiring a PMP Certified Automation Project Manager!

Responsibilities of the PMP Certified Automation Project Manager

  • Apply your PMP Certification to facilitate project management priorities with the sales team for large scale automated machinery builds.
  • Utilize your knowledge of the fabrication principles of metal manufacturing processes including welding, plate steel bending, sheet metal bending. fastening and assembly.
  • Use your strong project management background to be responsible for project schedules using MS Project and/or Gantt Charts and incorporate RFQ details, actual quote proposal details, cost estimates, budgets, milestones, work order generation, routing sheets and project finalization all the way up until shipping and machine commissioning.
  • Lead project kick-off meetings and incorporate design reviews into your project plan.
  • Monitor from the shop floor all aspects of the machinery builds including fabrication, welding, assembly, machining, testing and quality standard compliance.
  • Maintain project documentation and communication to track project progress.
  • Serve as the liaison for the management of these large scale, highly advanced automated machinery projects for use in manufacturing.
  • Manage project costs and verify that project costs are within budget.
  • Be responsible for overall cradle to grave project management.

Requirements of the PMP Certified Automation Project Manager

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or in any discipline is a strong plus but not required.
  • At least five years of experience in the manufacturing industry understanding how high technology automated machinery is built.
  • PMP Certification is essentially a must.
  • Excellent benefits and growth potential!

Compensation for the PMP Certified Automation Project Manager

The targeted annual starting salary for this position ranges from $95,000.00 to $120,000.00 depending on experience.
