Position Summary:

Are you a compassionate and skilled healthcare professional with a passion for helping patients manage chronic and acute pain? Our Pain Management Clinic is seeking a dedicated Physician Assistant to join our team. In this role, you'll deliver high-quality, patient-centered care tailored to individuals experiencing pain, working closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalized treatment plans that improve patients' quality of life.

Essential Job Functions:

• Conduct comprehensive health assessments, including medical history review, physical examinations, and interpretation of diagnostic tests.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs, evidence-based practices, and clinical guidelines.
• Prescribe medications, treatments, and therapies within scope of practice and in accordance with state regulations.
• Perform minor procedures and interventions, such as wound care, suturing, and administering injections.
• Provide patient education on health promotion, disease prevention, medication management, and self-care strategies.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to coordinate patient care, facilitate referrals, and ensure continuity of care.
• Document patient encounters accurately and thoroughly in electronic medical records, adhering to regulatory and organizational standards.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, research projects, and professional development activities to enhance clinical practice and patient outcomes.
• Maintain current knowledge of advances in nursing practice, pharmacology, and healthcare technology through ongoing education and training.

Essential Qualifications:

• Current Physician Assistant license in Kansas, or eligibility for licensure.
• Graduation from a nationally accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team.Strong commitment to patient advocacy, quality healthcare, and effective communication.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous medical office experience
• Clinical computer application experience and/ or training
