Job Description

Position: Pharmacist

Location: Brooklyn, NY 10034

Shift: Mornings (5x8), 7:00 am - 3:00 pm

Pay: $68/hr to $72/hr

Weekly hours: 40 hrs

Job type: Contract

Responsibilities:

• Provide patient counseling on the safe and effective use of medications, including dosage, side effects, and drug interactions.
• Provide pharmaceutical care by assessing drug therapy and recommending adjustments where necessary.
• Communicate with patients, caregivers, and healthcare teams about medication-related concerns or changes in therapy.
• Ensure that medications are stored in accordance with manufacturers' guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Adhere to all federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and regulations.
• Review patient records for contraindications and potential medication-related problems.
• Participate in continuing education and professional development activities.

Education and Certifications:

• Bachelor’s in Pharmacy or PharmD
• NYS licensed pharmacist
• Immunization certification
• 5+ years of hospital pharmacy or IV therapy-related pharmaceutical services experience
• Knowledge of pharmacotherapy and pharmacokinetics
