Duration: 13 Weeks

Shift: 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM

Position Overview:

Pride Health is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Pharmacist to join a healthcare team for a contract position. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pharmacy operations, including experience with electronic medical records (EMR), sterile processing, and pharmacy dispensing systems. This role is perfect for a dedicated professional ready to contribute to patient care while adhering to high standards of practice in a hospital or clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Medication Dispensing: Accurately dispense medications to patients, ensuring proper dosages and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Pharmacy Operations: Manage pharmacy dispensing systems and collaborate with healthcare teams for efficient medication management.
  • Sterile Processing & IV Room Support: Handle sterile processing and assist with IV room operations to ensure safe and effective drug preparation.
  • Electronic Medical Records (EMR): Utilize EMR systems to document patient information, medication orders, and other critical data.
  • Patient Education: Provide guidance to patients regarding the proper use of medications and their potential side effects.

Qualifications:

  • Licensure: Valid license to practice as a Pharmacist issued by NYSED, with Primary Source Verification required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a pharmacy setting required; experience with EMR, sterile processing, and IV room operations preferred.
  • Skills: Proficiency in pharmacy dispensing systems, strong attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
