Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Health Nurse (OHN) to support R&D and Manufacturing operations at assigned sites. This role is essential in ensuring a safe, healthy work environment by implementing occupational health programs, managing work-related injuries, and supporting employee well-being.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage work-related injuries & illnesses – Evaluate, treat, and oversee case management
  • Provide medical surveillance programs – Conduct health assessments for compliance with federal & company guidelines
  • Workplace Safety & Risk Assessments – Partner with HSE on PPE, accommodations, and return-to-work plans
  • Emergency Preparedness – Oversee the Medical Emergency Response Team (MERT) training and AED management
  • Regulatory Compliance – Ensure adherence to OSHA, HIPAA, ADA, FMLA , and other occupational health regulations
  • Support Employee Well-being – Conduct travel consultations, ergonomic assessments, and workplace visits
  • Maintain Medical Records & Supplies – Ensure compliance with legal, ethical, and HIPAA standards

What We’re Looking For

  • Active RN License in Massachusetts (Required)
  • 3+ years of nursing experience (Occupational Health preferred)
  • 2+ years of experience in Occupational Health (preferred in Pharma/Manufacturing/R&D)
  • Strong clinical assessment & problem-solving skills – Ability to work independently
  • Knowledge of medical surveillance programs (Hearing Conservation, Respiratory Protection, Hazmat, etc.)
  • CPR/AED Certification (Required)
  • Experience in case management, workers’ compensation, and medical surveillance (Preferred)
  • Phlebotomy experience (Preferred)

Requirements

Education:

  • Associate Degree in Nursing (RN) – 3-5 years of Occupational Health experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing – 2+ years of Occupational Health experience preferred
  • Occupational Health Certification (Preferred)

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Case management & workers’ compensation
  • Medical surveillance & biosafety knowledge
  • Strong interpersonal communication & computer skills
