Pay Range: $100000 - $130000/annum. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

Key Responsibilities:

• You will serve as a role model and function as a clinical resource for staff.
• You will supervise and facilitate the development of staff and oversee the day-to-day tasks/activities in the department.
• You will ensure staff are competent in the use of InterQual to progress the plan of care.
• You will work collaboratively and maintain active communication with physicians, nurses, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team to effect timely, appropriate patient management.
• You will monitor the quality of CM interactions with patients, families, physicians, and the multidisciplinary team by regularly shadowing staff to ensure clear understanding and adherence to department processes.
• You will monitor the quality of documentation and assessments by regularly auditing the case managers’ documentation.
• You will participate in clinical performance improvement activities.
• You will communicate effectively with patients, family, medical staff, care team members, students, supervisors, and outside contacts.
• You will assume responsibility for the department in the absence of the Director.
• You will assume responsibility for scheduling and staffing of the department.
• You will assume responsibility for department education and competencies.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

• Key Skills: Acute Care , Hospital , Case management , Utilization Review , Case Manager , clinical practitioner , BLS .
• Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred .
• Min 3+ years experience in clinical nursing case mgt. required.
• InterQual experience preferred.
• Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation.
• Certification in Case Management preferred.
• Certification in InterQual or IQCI preferred .
• MUST HAVE RECENT CASE MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE WITHIN THE ACUTE CARE SETTING.
