Job Description

Job Summary Reviews, analyzes, orders and evaluates environmental reports to determine the environmental condition of collateral to reduce risk of loss. Serves as a resource for team members by recommending solutions and opportunities while ensuring reports meet regulatory and compliance laws. Job Duties and Responsibilities Orders and reviews research-based, third-party environmental services to include database searches, Property Condition Assessments, Phase I ESA and Phase II reports. Assesses third party vendor reports for accuracy, adherence to industry standards, and regulatory requirements. Provides quarterly reporting of all services provided (both internal and external) including billing information and charge analysis. Serves as resource to lending personnel prior to and following due diligence processes. Resolves and reports issues or concerns with regard to recommended or completed work and facilitates training for bank personnel. Maintains environmental files, ensuring completeness and conformance to departmental specifications. Responds to staff and management's inquires regarding environmental issues and provides recommendations and solutions for environmental concerns regarding policy, procedures and regulatory requirements. Maintains current working knowledge of federal, state and local environmental standards and regulatory requirements related to real estate collateral and loan transactions. Keeps abreast of developments in environmental products and concerns through research of topics including emerging risks, trends and practices and shares findings with management and others. Each team member is expected to be aware of risk within their functional area. This includes observing all policies, procedures, laws, regulations and risk limits specific to their role. Additionally, they should raise and report known or suspected violations to the appropriate Company authority in a timely fashion. Performs other related duties as required.
