Our Director of Nursing is responsible for fostering a dynamic organizational culture and strengthening our programs and impact in one of our premier communities.

Our Director of Nursing:

  • Supervises all healthcare team members to include hiring, training, evaluating and counseling within established policies and procedures
  • Plans, implements, and schedules nursing services
  • Provides intervention to respond to emergencies and problems
  • Maintains medical charting and required documentation under scope state regulatory guidelines for appropriate licensing and corporate policies
  • Assesses residents for change in level of care and coordinate billing for that level of care
  • Administers and coordinate medications of residents
  • Oversees and/or is responsible for, including delegation to another qualified nurse, infection control within the community
  • Works closely with residents and families to develop and implement appropriate care plans
  • Assists residents with medical appointments and coordinate required transportation
  • Participates in rotation of on-call duty
  • Follows OSHA compliance and back support procedures
  • Maintains contact with physicians to facilitate medication orders, refills, supplies or transportation
  • Follows established risk management procedures for residents and team members
  • Promotes the Transforming Age Culture of Excellence
  • Performs other duties as assigned

What you need to succeed!

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university, or the equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Licensed as either a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse in the state, or the ability to relocate and transfer licensure. Registered Nurse strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in Nursing; Experience in Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing strongly preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of state regulations for nursing in assisted living communities
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong leadership and training skill.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products
