**About the Role:**
We’re seeking a compassionate, energetic, and reliable individual to provide companion care for a wonderful man in downtown Madison who loves exploring his community! This role is perfect for someone who enjoys helping others live life to the fullest by engaging in fun social activities. The client, a fun-loving and outgoing person on the autism spectrum, is looking for a caregiver to join him in:
- Dining out at local restaurants for lunch or dinner
- Catching the latest movies at the theater
- Exploring Madison’s vibrant attractions, events, and hobbies
- Other client-directed activities that align with his interests
You’ll be hired **directly by the individual** and paid through a **fiscal agent** as part of his long-term care support services.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Provide safe, reliable transportation to activities using your own vehicle.
- Assist with planning and participating in outings based on the client’s preferences.
- Foster a positive, respectful, and supportive companionship.
- Ensure safety and comfort during all activities.
- Maintain clear communication with the client and his support team.
**Requirements:**
- **Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable insured vehicle, and clean driving record.**
- **No criminal record** (background check required).
- Patience, enthusiasm, and a passion for helping others thrive.
- Experience with autism spectrum disorder or disabilities is a **plus**, but not required—training and guidance provided.
- Flexibility to work part-time hours, including evenings or weekends for activities.
- Ability to respect client autonomy and follow his lead in planning outings.
