HOW A ABMS DDN NETWORK ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Responsible for the design and development of voice, video, radio frequency, and/or data communications networks
  • Identifies, analyzes, and resolves network problems.
  • Provides network/equipment/specialized training and technical guidance.
  • Determines network specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility.
  • May provide guidance and leadership to less-experienced systems engineers.
  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of network engineering principles, methods, and techniques.
  • Knowledge of the associated hardware, software, and equipment.
  • Knowledge of Data Center and Virtualization
  • Knowledge of Automation techniques and structure
  • Participates in special projects as assigned.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science

Required Experience: 20+ years of related Network Engineering experience. Required Technical Skills: Knowledge and experience with routing and switching protocols, Cisco IOS software and hardware features, ability to configure and troubleshoot Multicast, and knowledge and experience with VoIP/collaboration systems
Security Clearance Level: Top Secret with SCI eligibility
Required Skills and Abilities: Must possess a completed CCNA certification.

Must meet DOD 8750 requirements and be eligible for IAT level II access
Location: Hampton, Virginia

The likely salary range for this position is $191,412 - $258,970. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
